The Cat Napping Team
Cat Boarding Professionals in Caroline Springs, Spotswood & Hoppers Crossing
Founder and crazy cat lady
The cats at Cat Napping owe it all to Ebony. She created her luxury cat hotels to combine her two passions, travel and animals.
Ebony’s qualifications also reflect her life’s loves – she has an Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management and has worked as an international travel consultant. She has also completed Introduction to Vet Nursing at Gordon Institute TAFE, Feline Management with the Australian School of Pet Care and a Certificate III in Animal Studies at the University of Victoria.
Ebony currently shares her home with her cat Bucket but she has room in her heart for every cat!
Feel free to contact Ebony with any suggestions, complaints or compliments (or for a free tummy rub… if you’re a kitty of course!) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feline Fun Officer
Lesley has had animals as a major part of her life since forever. With 3 cats of her own now (and 3 friendly Chihuahuas!) she has taken a leap of faith and embarked on a total career change.
After 25 years of teaching teenagers she has joined the Cat Napping team. Joining the team has meant her true passion for animals can now shine. Lesley loves the variety of cats that stay, making sure there’s time for play and fun.
Growing up, Melissa always had a combination of cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and fish as pets in her family.
Melissa worked as a personal assistant before moving into animal studies – a big change but she definitely loves her new career. Her current study focus is feline behaviour and the psychology behind it.
At Cat Napping, Melissa takes great pleasure in taking care of her furry little case studies and learning about their differences.
For Melissa, chatting to human clients about their cat’s behaviours and quirky habits before they drop their cat off means that she is able to bring out each cat’s unique personality during their stay.
Alysia has always been passionate about animals, growing up around dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even sheep! She currently has seven cats of her own as well as a Boxer, 2 birds and a fish.
It has always been a dream of Alysia’s to work with animals and she has studied a variety of courses, including ‘Cat Psychology & Training’ and ‘Companion Animal Services’.
Cat Napping is a dream job for Alysia. Every day is filled with meows, purrs and belly rubs and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Jodie spent 15 years working in finance and 12 years raising her children before finding her purrfect job. A lifelong lover of animals, Jodie has owned a menagerie of pets throughout the years and currently has 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds and a snake!
Along with working at Cat Napping, Jodie fosters greyhounds and volunteers with Forever Friends Animal Rescue.
For Jodie, her work is more than a job. She spends extra time with the most shy cats, encouraging them to come out of their shell and enjoy their stay as much as possible.
Growing up as an only child, Nicole’s life revolved around her pets, this leading her to develop a deep love for animals. Over the years she’s owned many cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, lizards and chickens. Currently she has 2 cats, a Jack Russel Terrier, a chicken and has 2 fish tanks.
Whilst working at Cat Napping, Nicole also works at Spotlight and is studying online with Swinburne, her dreams are to one day open her own business.
Nicole loves every day at Cat Napping, because of the never ending purrs, meows and fluffy cuddles. She tries her best to encourage every cat to feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. She spends that extra time to understand each felines personality, creates a sense of security and reassurance that the shyer felines need.
Feline Guest Services
Growing up, Kristen has always had a connection with animals, with her whole life revolving around her pets. She has owned everything from cats, dogs, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and fish and currently has two cats and a maltese terrier in her possession.
Currently studying Veterinary Nursing, Kristen hopes to one day open her own veterinary clinic and rescue organisation.
Working at Cat Napping has been the perfect introduction to Kristen’s career as she is particularly interested in feline behaviour. She enjoys learning how to interact with each different guest and getting to know their individual personalities.
Having grown up in country NSW, Doris has had a love affair with animals and nature for as long as she can remember.
Cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, chooks, fallow deer have all been a part of her life. If asked what her favourite animal is, without a moments’ hesitation, Doris would say, cats.
Over the years, Doris has worked in retail, hospitality, administration, but her heart has always belonged to animals. This love of animals led her to volunteer as a wildlife rescuer after the 2009 bushfires and at a wildlife shelter.
Currently a part time Safari Guide at Werribee Open Range Zoo, Doris shares her home with a beautiful tabby cat, who has been a resident at Cat Napping on quite a few occasions.
Doris loves working with the cats who stay at Cat Napping, and using techniques such as the TTouch Method and gentle music to help create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. She is also a staunch advocate for responsible cat ownership.
Melissa has always been passionate about animals and their welfare. After working in various industries she finally decided to follow her passion by completing Certificate II in Animal Studies. After doing placement at Cat Napping, they asked her to join their team.
Caring for and connecting with cats is rewarding and doesn’t feel like work for Melissa.
